Christianity and Islam are monotheistic religions that believe in one God—Yahweh for Christianity and Allah for Islam. Believers have faith in these gods themselves. However, God's words and will are invisible. Therefore, messengers like Jesus and Muhammad convey them. In the past, there was less law and order than today, and the world was chaotic. People died easily from disease and war, and didn't know what to believe in to live. This is where the prophets appeared. In Christianity, God appeared in human form (Jesus) and taught salvation and love. In Islam, God entrusted His words to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel, which were compiled into the scripture (the Quran). Jesus and Muhammad were perfect examples of how people should live—role models, in other words. Imitating their way of life is equivalent to believing in God. That is the fundamental concept of religion. Your question is which is God's religion, but the conclusion is that both are God's religions. However, the greatest difference is the Trinity doctrine—that Jesus is the Son of God and God himself—whereas Muhammad is not the Son of God but merely a human being. In essence, both are monotheistic religions of God, but on the surface, ordinary people might interpret that since Jesus is God and Muhammad is a prophet and merely human, the former is God's religion.
