1. Our Commitment

moot is committed to providing a safe environment for all users and has a zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We strictly prohibit any content, conduct, or activity that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children (persons under the age of 18) on our platform.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on moot:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in any form
  • Content that sexualizes, exploits, or abuses children
  • Grooming behavior — any attempt to establish relationships with minors for sexual purposes
  • Sharing, soliciting, or discussing CSAM
  • Sextortion or any form of exploitation involving minors
  • Impersonation of minors or misrepresentation of age to engage with minors inappropriately

3. Age Requirement

moot is intended for users 13 years of age or older. Users must comply with the minimum age requirements of their jurisdiction. Accounts identified as belonging to children under the minimum age will be terminated.

4. Detection and Response

We take the following measures to prevent, detect, and respond to CSAE on our platform:

  • In-app reporting functionality for all comments and posts, available to every user
  • Automatic content hiding when a comment receives 3 or more reports
  • Prompt investigation by moderators upon receiving any CSAE-related report
  • Permanent account termination for any user found violating this policy
  • Preservation and reporting of CSAM to relevant authorities such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States and equivalent authorities worldwide, as required by law
  • Cooperation with law enforcement agencies when legally required

5. How to Report CSAE Content or Conduct
