1. Service Overview

moot (hereinafter "the Service") is an anonymous discussion platform where up to 9 people discuss a specific topic. Participants discuss under temporary names and reach conclusions through voting.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

• An email address is required for account registration
• Please use one account per person
• Users under 13 years of age may not use the Service
• Users are responsible for managing their own account information

3. Anonymity

The Service provides anonymity within discussions. Other participants cannot see your email address or personal information; only temporary names are displayed. However, the operator may provide necessary information in response to disclosure requests required by law.

4. Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are prohibited. Violations may result in content removal or account suspension.

• Defamation, harassment, or threats against others
• Discriminatory or hateful expressions
• Unauthorized disclosure of personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
• Promotion of illegal activities or criminal threats
• Any content related to child exploitation
• Distribution of spam, advertisements, or malware
• Infringement of copyrights or intellectual property rights
• Actions that interfere with the normal operation of the Service
• Vote manipulation or discussion disruption using multiple accounts

5. User Content

• Copyright of posted content belongs to the poster
• By posting, you grant the operator a license to the extent necessary for display and translation within the Service
• The Service may automatically translate posted content into other languages for display
• Users can delete their own comments. Deleted comments will be displayed as "Deleted"
• The operator may remove content that violates these terms without prior notice

6. Reporting and Enforcement

If you find content that violates these terms, please use the reporting feature. The operator will review the content and take action such as removal or account restrictions as necessary. Malicious false reports are also considered prohibited conduct.

7. Privacy

• Information collected: email address, IP address (for fraud prevention), usage logs
• For anonymity, display names and actual accounts are not publicly linked
• Personal information will not be shared with third parties except as required by law
• Cookies may be used for access analytics
• If you wish to delete your account, you can do so from your profile page

8. Disclaimer

• The Service is provided "as is" and does not guarantee complete functionality
• As a beta version, features may change or data may be reset without prior notice
• The operator is not responsible for content posted by other users
• Accuracy of automatic translations is not guaranteed. Please check the original text for important decisions
• The operator is not liable for damages caused by service interruptions or termination

9. Service Changes and Termination

The operator may change, add, or remove features of the Service without prior notice. If the Service is to be terminated, we will provide advance notice whenever possible.

10. Changes to Terms

These terms may be changed as necessary. Significant changes will be notified within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
